About us · The Team
TumainiBridge is an enduring commitment to leveraging human-centered, secure technology for community impact. The platform is created by intentionally bringing together three key contributors. This core team is expected to remain small during initial implementation and will expand as the project's needs evolve.
Anitta P Namanya, PhD
Lead
A Ugandan based in the US, Anitta brings dual positioning that is foundational to this platform: deep familiarity with diaspora donor behaviour and giving patterns, combined with direct understanding of Uganda's civil society landscape and healthcare NGO sector. Her interest in human-centered technologies that solve community challenges drives the platform's design philosophy — evidence without bureaucracy, transparency without burden.
Philip Wanduru, PhD
Uganda-based public health expert
Philip leads the co-development of the evaluation framework and submission template. His expertise in programme evaluation, monitoring, learning, quality improvement, implementation science, policy analysis, and translating evidence into advocacy for maternal and newborn health ensures the platform's metrics reflect African health system service delivery realities rather than generic NGO benchmarks.
Richard Kimera, PhD
Uganda-based software & AI engineer
Richard builds the platform in active collaboration with Anitta and AI development tooling. This model is both a cost efficiency and a principle: Ugandan technical talent sits at the centre of an AI-driven social infrastructure project, keeping the platform locally maintainable, context-aware, and a genuine product of the community it serves.
Founding funders and collaborators are offered a seat on the founding advisory panel, alongside clinicians, donors, community health workers and organisation leaders guiding the pilot. Names and affiliations will be published as the pilot expands.
